Increasing Your Speed during Soccer Traininghttp://myallsports.com/increasing-your-speed-during-soccer-training/16/ http://myallsports.com/increasing-your-speed-during-soccer-training/16/#comments Tue, 17 May 2011 23:24:36 +0000 Soccer lover http://myallsports.com/increasing-your-speed-during-soccer-training/16/ Increasing Your Speed during Soccer Training

During soccer training, you are introduced to many different things. While many of these things focus on technique, speed is an important element in soccer as well. However, it is not the most important component to the game. Technique and skill are more important than speed. Many players still want to know ways that they can increase their speed during soccer training. In this article, I will share with you some methods that you can use to increase your overall rate of speed during soccer training.

Soccer players are extremely comfortable with drills and other exercises that help to increase the overall technical ability of play. If you are working to increase your speed during soccer training, there are many drills that you can use to do so. One of these is to test how many times that your foot touches the ground within one minute of running. You continue to perform this drill until you are getting more and more ground touches. You can use your soccer ball to perform almost the same task. Simply kick the ball, or rotate the ball between your feet for a minute and see how many times that you are able to do so. Gradually try to increase the number of times that you can do this each time you perform this particular type of speed drill.

The second method that you can increase your speed during soccer practice is to pay special attention to how you run. There are many people that push on their heels to begin the process of running. Other individuals start off with the base of their foot. If you wish to increase your overall speed during soccer practice, try starting the running position by using your toes, or big toe, to do so. This allows you to increase your speed right from the onset of the running session.

The third method of increasing your speed during soccer training is to make sure that you keep your head tucked down. This position will help your body to get into the ready mode for running. While you are running, it will help to increase the rate of speed in which you are able to move. However, it is important to keep your focus on the ball during soccer training, so, remember to not look down too often.

During soccer training, it is important to pay special attention to the way that you are running. Many individuals have the habit of running in such a way that their arms seem to move across the body instead of forward. This will often prove to slow you down during soccer training, rather than speed you up. If you find that you are experiencing this issue, it may be necessary to perform drills that will allow you to focus on moving your arms appropriately. In addition to making sure the arms are moving in the right direction, it is equally important to make certain that your head is facing the direction in which you are traveling.

The Underlying Principle of Everything. Aikido ki being energy. Aikido ki being energy. Japanese martial arts.

In quantum physics, one of the foremost theories that promises to revolutionize how we see the world is the theory of strings. The main premise of this particular theory is that strings are the most basic structure that makes up everything we can and cannot see within the physical world. Strings of course is just a word to label this most profound substance that theoretical physicists say dictate everything we see, perceive and have in and around us in this physical world.

Although no direct correlation has ever been claimed between string theory and that of the principles of ch’i prevalent in the East, they share the same premise in the most basic sense that it is said that there is a basic energy substance that underlie everything. In understanding the nature of this substance we are able to harness its and utilize it.

The concept of ch’i or qi in and ki in Japanese, is very much relative to the type of school that teaches it. Some say that ch’i is a force separate from matter as we know it. Some say that ch’i arises from matter. Still some say that matter arises from ch’i.

What all schools have in common however is the fact that they all more or less say that ch’i is a fundamental energy that can be harnessed to bring to oneself wither physically, mentally or spiritually. With all the different premises that try to explain ch’i, it is clear that mere instructions in words will not be able to fully expound on what ch’i is. Perhaps because of this, it is better to pass on the knowledge of ch’i through actual and practical instruction.

One school that may be successful in being able to teach what the ch’i is and how to be able to use it for one’s own benefit is Aikido. At the heart of the spirituality and philosophy or Aikido is the ki, which is similar or perhaps, one and the same with what is otherwise known as the ch’i or qi.

Aikido’s ki is the heart of the principle of this particular martial art. While technically, martial arts are means for combat and war, Aikido is often known as the art of peace because it espouses a peaceful means towards aggression. Aikido ki, like in other concepts of ch’i teaches that there is a fundamental energy that can be harnessed. Aikido ki being energy means that its substance is something that flows.

The principle of peace and relaxation taught by Aikido presupposes the fact that the ki flows more smoothly and strongly when it is uninterrupted. A better illustration might be something like, if water is ki, then to harness its , it must be allowed to flow to produce hydroelectric force.

This is why in Aikido, ki energy comes from being relaxed. It is said that in the relaxed state, the flow of ki is better aided. Aikido as a martial art is not

Aikido Weaponry is All About Techniques Japanese martial arts.http://myallsports.com/aikido-weaponry-is-all-about-techniques-japanese-martial-arts/133/ http://myallsports.com/aikido-weaponry-is-all-about-techniques-japanese-martial-arts/133/#comments Thu, 05 May 2011 07:17:51 +0000 Aikido master http://myallsports.com/aikido-weaponry-is-all-about-techniques-japanese-martial-arts/133/ Aikido Weaponry is All About Techniques Japanese martial arts.

Aikido is a kind of martial arts which is often considered as modern Japanese budo. This martial art’s emphasis is on the spiritual and philosophical development of one’s self. The word "Aikido" basically means "The Way of Harmony with the Spirit." It is the study of the natural laws and how they harmonize with the mind and body.

Aikido is encompassing. You will be taught to use both armed and unarmed forms of combat and self defense. For unarmed attacks, you have at your disposal a variety of throws, strikes, joint-lock techniques, vital points and even those so-called mystery attacks wherein you attack the opponent without laying a hand on him or her. Meanwhile, armed attacks involve the use of every kind of weapon imaginable. From swords to knives, from sticks to spears, practically everything can be utilized in Aikido as a weapon.

However, in general most Aikido classes are conducted with exclusive training with the use of the jo or staff, tanto or and the bokken or sword. These three serve as the main weapons used in Aikido. Even though Aikido appears to be using more unarmed forms and techniques of martial arts, there are a couple of reasons why weapons are studied in Aikido classes and training sessions. Aikido has a strong weapon martial arts foundation and any training with weapons will only reinforce the basic techniques of the martial art.

Aikido founder Morihei Ueshiba, known to his students and Aikido practitioners as ?-sensei which means Great Teacher, was particularly skilled with the staff. He was able to integrate weapon techniques with basic Aikido movements. But among the multitude of weapons out there the sword has the most influence on the development stages of Aikido techniques.

Through weapons training, an Aikido practitioner will be able to measure the distance between attacks. Also called ma-ai, the proper distancing is very important in timing an attack and defending one. And speaking of defense, weapons training is also necessary since advanced Aikido techniques involve defending against people bearing all sorts of weapons.

In to practice each advanced move safely, Aikido practitioners needed to be familiar with each weapons’ capabilities. Therefore, with Aikido weapons training, one will be able to develop his skills, intuitiveness and reflexes in both attacking and defending movements.

Among the weapons used in Aikido weapons training include the katana, the single edged, slightly curved sword famous in the world as the sword of the samurai. In Aikido weapons training, you will also be taught to handle, hold, fight and defend using the tanto which in actuality is a or a short blade. The tanto was also extremely popular amongst the men and women who lived by the samurai code during their time.

Coaching a Fun Soccer Training Sessionhttp://myallsports.com/coaching-a-fun-soccer-training-session/7/ http://myallsports.com/coaching-a-fun-soccer-training-session/7/#comments Wed, 04 May 2011 12:40:40 +0000 Soccer lover http://myallsports.com/coaching-a-fun-soccer-training-session/7/ Coaching a Fun Soccer Training Session

Being a coach is an extremely important position in sports. There are many different styles and methods of coaching. While it is important to set a style and method that is comfortable for you, it is equally important to consider the comfort level of your team. This is imperative if you coach children. Children must be encouraged to win, but there are many more important aspects of the soccer game that should be considered with this particular age group. This includes working together as a team, and having fun while participating in sporting events. Here, you will learn how to coach a fun soccer training session.

The first thing that you can do to coach a fun soccer training session is to ensure that you make it fun. With children as your team, it is important to create games and activities that all the team members can participate in. Try to avoid engaging in drills and similar things that mean that the children must stand in line and wait their turn. This is a great time waster when it comes to the development of your players, and can make the soccer training session extremely boring for the children.

The second thing that you should do in to coach a fun soccer training session is to be completely prepared. Come up with a list of exciting games and drills that the children can participate in. Make sure that these activities develop the overall skill and technique of each player. It is important for the soccer training session to be interactive and challenging for the child. If you are prepared, and know exactly what you want to focus on, the team is sure to have a wonderful time and learn many new things.

The third thing that you should do in to ensure that you are making your soccer training fun and exciting for your players is to arrive before everyone else and set up the training area. This will allow you and your team to immediately start training once everyone has arrived. This avoids having to get the children to help set up activities and become bored before they even start. You may wish to encourage early arrival by explaining to members that the last two people to arrive will need to pick up the cones and the balls used during the training session. This makes prompt arrival a fun and challenging game, and will encourage those that arrive last to get there a little earlier next time. Furthermore, this will be a great help to you after an exhausting training session!

While many coaches may not consider "having fun" a key component of a soccer training session with children, it is important to understand that this IS the most important component. If you have a team full of happy players, their performance will be better. The team will be more successful as a whole if they are having fun and are not overwhelmed with negativity during soccer training sessions.

Handling Head Injuries during Soccer Traininghttp://myallsports.com/handling-head-injuries-during-soccer-training/14/ http://myallsports.com/handling-head-injuries-during-soccer-training/14/#comments Wed, 20 Apr 2011 11:26:42 +0000 Soccer lover http://myallsports.com/handling-head-injuries-during-soccer-training/14/ Handling Head Injuries during Soccer Training

While many soccer training sessions are completed with absolutely no injuries, many are not so successful. There are many different kinds of situations that may arise when it comes to soccer training. Virtually any part of the body may be injured when one is practicing to increase their skill and ability in soccer. However, one specific location of the body is prone to injury in this particular sports training event. That is the head. The head is used in many technique applications in soccer. Here, you will learn how to handle head injuries during soccer training.

The first thing that you can do as a coach is to educate yourself properly when it comes to injuries that you may have to handle in the soccer playing field. When studying injuries to the head, you should ensure that you understand all the different kinds of situations that may occur, the signs that they have occurred, the symptoms that may be experienced by an individual, and what you can do to assist in the individual in the way of first aid. One particular topic that you should review thoroughly as it is quite common is a head concussion.

When a person experiences a head concussion, it means that they have experienced a bruise, or series of broken blood vessels, to the brain area. This can be an extremely dangerous situation. It can be caused from a simple blow to the head from a soccer ball, or being accidentally tapped or hit by another player on the field. When a person experiences this, they may actually pass out. You may find that the individual complains of a headache if they do not pass out. They may also experience a loss in memory, issues with balance and coordination, or even become physically ill.

As the coach of the soccer training session, it is important to identify the situation quickly. You should make certain that you call for assistance immediately. It is always a good idea to keep a cell phone on hand for emergencies. You should stabilize the head of the individual and make sure that no one moves the person until medical help arrives. Only medical professionals, such as paramedics, an on site nurse or doctor or other trained individual should attempt to move the injured person.

There are other head injuries that may occur to the head area during soccer training. The two most common include nosebleeds and black eyes. If a nosebleed occurs, a person should be given a cloth and requested to sit in a position that is comfortable for them. They should then try to pinch the nose shut for just a few minutes. This usually helps to stop the bleeding that is occurring. If the nose appears to be broke, call medical help as soon as possible. If someone experiences a black eye during soccer training, it is important to give the person ice or an ice pack to place on the eye in to reduce swelling and reduce the pain that is associated with this particular injury.
