At Composition Night, my favorite selection was probably Jonni Wooten’s piece. Her piece’s title “Shadow Whispers” went very well with the overall theme of her composition. The music was very dark and mysterious. It had this type of depressed feeling to it. This is something that I often find myself listening to. It was long but I never got bored. I thought that overall her song was well written and you could easily see that there was feeling and plenty of thought behind it.

As concerns "I clear the table", it's rather "Je débarrasse la table" without reflexive pronoun.
"I put the dishes in the dishwasher" could also be translated as "Je mets les plats au lave-vaisselle.". It's possibly less grammatical than "dans le lave-vaisselle". Still, it conveys a slight nuance : "au" tells more about a choice on a washing method, whereas "dans" refers to the actual action of putting the dishes inside the dishwasher.
