How many people would be happy if their child had a teacher who lowered their child’s grade for no reason and gave their points to another student so they could pass? Let’s say they have a teacher named Mr. Obama who lowered their child’s A+ to a B- and then raised another child’s grade from a D- to a C+. Would that be fair even if the D- child worked harder than the A+ child? The A+ child woulf be penalized for success and the D- student still wouldn’t know how to succeed.

Awesome, Cheryl. Incomings and outgoings really sum up what I saw about Nephi and the tent. Everything he did that had importance rotated around that tent, that “axis.” Get revelation, go to tent. Receive revelation at tent from father/prophet. Act on revelation, return to tent. (Get scriptures, go to tent. Get potential marriage partners, go to tent.) And so on.

"First things come first" is more correct than "first things first", grammatically speaking. However, in everyday speech, "first things first" is more common. An example would be:

"First things first, let's teach you how to use this phrase."

Universal is most likely used to refer to everyone and/or everything. Whereas particular is prolly its opposite as the word implies that the writer is referring to a specific instance.
